Susan Geary launched 1st Rate Résumés in 2000 in San Diego, California. Since then she’s written 1000 + resumes, earned four industry certifications, relocated across several states, and earned three TORI nominations for excellence in resume writing.
An active member of Career Director’s International, Susan has also been involved with the Colorado Career Development Association, Arizona Resume Writers Council, Professional Association of Resume Writers, and the National Resume Writers Association. She’s also been a presenter at jobing.com career expos, and for Cisco’s MBA career development program.
Susan has worked in radio, television, and the airline industry before becoming a professional resume writer and job search coach. Currently, she serves as Blue Ridge PBS's resume expert and correspondent on Job Quest and is the host of WVTF's highly-rated Morning Edition, which can be heard throughout the greater Commonwealth of Virginia.

He is adept at raising awareness of talents and spotlighting abilities and achievements that generate interest, interviews, and job offers. With more than 10 years of experience as an independent professional information researcher and freelance writer specializing in profile features, his stories have appeared in numerous regional publications. He's also the former editor of The Google Government Report.
Over the last few years, he has partnered with government agencies, corporations and non-profit associations to develop and promote their programs. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with a communications degree and resides just outside the Nation's Capitol.
